If you are reading this article you may be wondering where to find a GST invoice for your Google Ads account.

In late November 2018, Adwords started charging GST on all New Zealand AdWords accounts.

You can find your GST Tax invoice in the form of a PDF inside your Google Ads dashboard in the first week of the following month.

Account administrators and personnel with “billing access” can view and download billing information, so make sure you have the appropriate privileges to access these details.

There are two ways to download the invoice: Through the Google Payments Centre and Google Ads portal:

Method 1: How to download a GST Tax Invoice from your Google Payments Centre account:

  1. Go to https://pay.google.com and login with your Gmail details
  2. Click on the Adwords subscription service (click “manage”)
  3. Click on view Transactions & Documents
  4. Select the correct a date range
  5. Click the link for the Tax Invoice (NZ)
  6. Save file

Method 2: How to download a GST Tax Invoice from your Google Adwords account:

  1. Sign in to Adwords at ads.google.com
  2. Click on “Tools” in the top bar menu
  3. Select the option “Billing & Payments”
  4. Click on “Transactions”
  5. Select the correct a date range
  6. Click the link for the Tax Invoice (NZ)
  7. Save file

If you are using Ad blockers extensions for you browser, make sure you disable them, otherwise you may run into issues.

Unfortunately it is not possible to setup monthly invoicing in Google adwords, although this feature will likely be implemented in the future.
